Apr 18 2011An increasing number of clients have expressed concerns that Frontline and Advantage/Advantax have not been effective in controling adult flea and tick activity on their pets. This has been confirmed by our hospital examinations. Both products were released for use 17 years ago. We are now dispensing Vectra for adult flea and tick control. Heartworm on the Increase

We have treated 7 dogs for adult heartworm disease in the last two years, which is a much greater number than we have seen in past years. Because of this noted rise, we are strongly encouraging clients to be sure to have their dogs tested or screened regularly for heartworms and to treat with monthly heartworm prevention.
